Job Description

The Mammography Tech plays a vital role in the healthcare industry, specializing in the operation of mammography equipment to produce high-quality images of the breast for diagnostic purposes. They assist in providing accurate and timely information to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Operate mammography equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
  • Position and prepare patients for procedures.
  • Provide patient education and support throughout the imaging process.
  • Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff.
  • Perform quality control and assurance tests on equipment.
  • Maintain patient records and documentation.
  • Assist radiologists in image interpretation and analysis.
  • Adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
  • Participate in continuous learning and professional development.
Requirements:Essential Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology or related field.
  • Certification in Mammography (ARRT).
  • State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Mammography Tech.
  • Proficiency in using mammography equipment and technology.
  • Understanding of breast anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of patient care and bedside manner.
  • Attention to detail and keen observation skills.
