Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Surgical Service team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical care and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical services to patients under the direct supervision of a physician supervisor or designee.
- Conduct initial histories and physical examinations on new patients, manage acute and chronic health problems, and order diagnostic studies as needed.
- Initiate and expedite requests for consultations, provide patient education and counseling, and perform various medical procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and participate in team problem-solving.
- Graduate of a training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of PA (ARC-PA) or one of its predecessor organizations.
- Master's degree in any discipline or bachelor's degree with one year of experience as a PA.
- Successful completion of the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE) and current registration in the State of licensure if required.
- At least 2 years of experience in orthopedic surgery or a related field.
The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
