At Oak Street Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to join our team. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading our clinicians in your designated neighborhood of clinics and practicing primary care on a part-time basis.

About the Role

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead our clinicians in your neighborhood of clinics, setting the standard for exceptional care and guiding them towards delivering the best possible results.
  • Practice primary care on a part-time basis to remain close to patients and understand their needs firsthand.
  • Assume mission-critical leadership responsibilities, including mentorship, coaching, and strategic initiatives that drive organizational growth.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong passion for primary care and a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
  • 5-15 years of experience in outpatient practice, with a focus on clinical leadership and coaching physicians.
  • A metrics-driven approach to analyzing cost, quality, and satisfaction data to drive clinical strategy and program redesign.
  • A commitment to older adults and low-income patients, with a keen understanding of the importance of population health and smart resource allocation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and guide others towards effective solutions.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off.
