Glass Studio Instructor

The Eden Prairie Art Center is seeking a skilled Glass Studio Instructor to lead various intro to advanced glass courses and workshops at the center, as well as possible off-site locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging glass art classes for youth and adults, including fused, slumped, stained, painted, and flame-worked techniques.
• Prepare curriculum materials and ensure a safe and healthy environment for participants.
• Serve as part of the pool of instructors for various bookings, such as private parties or lessons and events.
• Monitor student needs and provide quality service.
• Assume a leadership role in the arts department.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in art or a related field, or equivalent teaching and glass experience.
• 1-year experience teaching art classes in a school or art center setting required; 3-5 years preferred.
• Specialized training in glass and ability to create lesson plans independently.
