We offer a competitive salary range of $21.00 - $24.00 per hour, ensuring our caregivers are fairly compensated for their hard work and dedication.

Job Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Heritage Christian Services, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your critical thinking and leadership skills will be utilized to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting optimal health and wellness outcomes.

  • Carry out medical care plans developed by RNs or support teams.
  • Reinforce teaching of health-related topics, such as medication administration and respiratory treatments.
  • Observe for signs and symptoms of dysfunction and document next steps in collaboration with RNs.
  • Provide input to RNs for formulation and implementation of care plans.
  • Work primarily evening shifts, with some daytime shifts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • New York State Department of Education licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • A valid NYS Driver License.
  • Long-term care experience and experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (preferable).
  • Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Critical thinking skills and leadership abilities.
