We are seeking a skilled Guest Service Representative to join our team at Murphco of FL. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate room assignments and payment processing.
  • Manage hotel switchboard operations, forwarding calls and messages to the appropriate departments.
  • Provide information and assistance to guests, resolving issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Make reservations and ensure accurate quoting of booking, rate, and cancellation policies.
  • Deliver mail, packages, and messages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Count and reconcile bank at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring accurate accounting.
  • Make regular deposits in accordance with the hotel's deposit procedure.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Clerical and cash handling experience necessary.
  • Proficiency in computer and keyboard operations.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and an enthusiastic, outgoing personality.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand for 8-hour shifts, with walking and climbing stairs required.
  • Occasional stooping, bending, and lifting of up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
  • May assist guests with luggage on occasion.

Working Hours:

  • Shift work with varying days and hours, dependent on hotel occupancy.
  • Ability to work weekends and occasional overtime during special events and full occupancy.
  • Schedule will be dictated by the Guest Service Manager.
