About the Role

Microsoft's Cloud business is expanding rapidly, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization plays a critical role in enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. As a SAP Supply Chain Planning Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development of Supply Chain platform solutions that power Cloud and Devices supply chains for Microsoft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-performing team of SAP functional software engineers in the development of integrated business planning processes (IBP) using SAP IBP, SAP IBP Sales & Operations Planning, SAP IBP Response & Supply, SAP IBP Demand Planning (DP), SAP Inventory Optimization, and Integration.
  • Partner with business operations, product management, architects, engineers, and teams across the organization to drive the supply chain planning solution development and innovation in areas such as customer experience, sustainability, generative artificial intelligence (AI), automation of processes and systems, data-driven solutions, and operational excellence.
  • Champion modern engineering practices, such as Agile, Live Site, Telemetry, backlog grooming, and execute flawlessly on Big Bet project releases, Product Launches, and other moments of truth.
  • Drive service improvements through focus on automation and technical debt reduction, and partner with peers on system performance, capacity management, and scalability to ensure sustained service stability, SLAs, and Business KPIs.
  • Own SOX and Security Compliance for all relevant services and engage with business process units to build a 'trusted advisor' relationship with these teams through consistent on-time, on-budget delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
  • 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, preferably in designing IBP processes using SAP IBP, SAP IBP Sales & Operations Planning, SAP IBP Response & Supply, SAP IBP Demand Planning (DP), SAP Inventory Optimization, and Integration.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with SAP HANA solutions, including S/4 HANA.
  • Software engineering experience in Microsoft technologies, including understanding of Cloud Computing concepts and platforms.
  • Experience using structured design and modeling techniques, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, E2E Test Automation, Telemetry, and automation tools such as Worksoft Certify, Power Apps Platform, and Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • 5 years of experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Performance Optimization.
