Job SummaryThe RN MDS Coordinator plays a vital role in our nursing management team, ensuring the completion and submission of accurate and timely interdisciplinary MDS Assessments, CAAs, and Care Plans according to CMS RAI Manual Regulations and applicable laws. This position requires a strong understanding of geriatric nursing and the ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, and policies.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and assist with completion and submission of MDS Assessments, CAAs, and Care Plans
- Report changes in patient condition to the DON
- Provide education to direct care associates on updates to CMS RAI Manual or Skilled Nursing Facility Regulations
- Review Interdisciplinary Comprehensive Care Plans and Final Validation Reports
- Attend and participate in Daily PPS Meetings, Monthly Triple Checks, and other meetings as requested
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
- Current RN license in good standing
- Two years' nursing experience, with geriatric nursing experience preferred
- CRN C Certification and CPR certification required
