Job Summary:
The Inpatient Dialysis Nurse provides direct patient care in accordance with company policies and procedures, which includes client compliance programs and contracted hospitals' policies and procedures. The nurse will partner with the hospital to provide quality care to the patient and deliver care that provides a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, the nurse applies considerable knowledge to perform a broad range of tasks, including direct patient care in multiple modalities, such as hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapies, and ultrafiltration. The nurse provides supervision and direction of Patient Care Technicians and clerical staff and provides direction and education to ICU staff for CRRT.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have two years of Nephrology Nursing experience in the last two years as a RN and a minimum of two years inpatient dialysis nursing experience. The nurse must have demonstrated strong assessment skills related to the critically ill patient and hold current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification. Certification in Nephrology Nursing, Apheresis Nursing, or both is highly encouraged.
