Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our team at Sasha Bruce Youthwork Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to both our People Team and Operations Team.

Sasha Bruce Youthwork Inc. is the leading provider of homeless youth services in the DC Region. Our holistic approach integrates safe homes, life skills, and workforce development to meet the unique needs of homeless youth.

With over 50 years of experience, we have implemented innovative interventions aimed at ending youth homelessness in the DC region. Today, our programs reach over 6,500 runaway, homeless, abused, and neglected youth, and their families.

Job Responsibilities

As an Administrative Coordinator, you will undertake a wide range of HR tasks, including:

  • Coordinating onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring all required documentation is accurately completed and submitted.
  • Verifying completeness of new hire paperwork, including employment contracts, tax forms, and benefit enrollment.
  • Assisting with new hire orientations, highlighting company policies, code of conduct, and compliance expectations.
  • Administering HR programs, including performance evaluations and benefits enrollment.
  • Preparing documentation as required for funders to document compliance with all requirements.
  • Reviewing benefit invoices and submitting them to Finance.
  • Assisting in annual employee clearance renewal process; following up with staff, filing documents, preparing reports.
  • Generating actionable HR reports and compiling data on staffing, turnover, background checks, clearances, compliance metrics, and other People Operations metrics.

You will also assist the CFO with various reporting responsibilities and work at the front desk, serving as a receptionist, directing telephone calls, welcoming visitors, sorting mail, accepting packages, etc.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using a personal computer, including knowledge and skill in the use of the Windows operating system and pertinent software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Online payroll software (ADP preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adept at efficient multi-tasking while maintaining a high-quality work product, with a collected and positive attitude.
  • Proven ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders, including clients, vendors, donors, management, and staff in a welcoming and professional way.
  • A high degree of integrity, accountability, and flexibility.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of settings, and able to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year
