About the Job

We are seeking a Financial Relationship Specialist to join our team at Clearview Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our Financial Centers, you will be responsible for providing exceptional member experiences by promoting credit union products and services, handling transactions, and developing relationships through engaging interactions.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Answering member inquiries and providing suggestions for financial services in person and over the phone;
  • Welcome and engage with members as an Experience Coordinator;
  • Providing accurate account information and educating members about credit union products and services;
  • Educating and increasing member awareness of all credit union promotions;
  • Building relationships by educating members and increasing cross sales using Cross-Sale Manager Software;
  • Seizing sales opportunities by utilizing sales and service techniques and conversations;
  • Opening and processing new accounts, updating account information as required;
  • Maintaining thorough knowledge of loan policies, underwriting guidelines, and rates;
  • Requesting and reviewing credit reports, looking for additional loan opportunities to move to the credit union;
  • Providing NADA quotes for autos, boats, aircraft, and other secured loans;
  • Supporting self-service electronic channels at the Financial Center, including ATM, Video Teller Machine, and digital assistant; Escorting consumers to these components for demonstrations or assisted transactions as appropriate;
  • Processing wire transfer requests using electronic online forms (1st party and repetitive wire transfers);
  • Assisting members with problems and complaints, providing resolutions;
  • Mailing requested information/forms;
  • Ensuring delivery and follow-up of new accounts, loan applications, and problems daily;
  • Participating in departmental campaigns/programs, achieving individual and team goals;
  • Partnering with the community through charity to support fundraising and volunteering;
  • Attending training sessions and meetings;
  • Staying updated on promotional and marketing mailings;
  • Remaining current in policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the organization;
  • Lifelong learning through classes/seminars, in-house training, and online;
  • Handling other duties as assigned;
Vault Duties

In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also perform vault duties, including:

  • Performing opening and closing branch procedures and adhering to security policies;
  • Ordering cash for the branch office and maintaining records of the vault and teller station cash balances;
  • Replenishing and balancing ATM, Cash Dispense/Cash Recycler/Coin machines when required;
  • Monitoring cash limits and completing cash drawer audits;
  • Assisting tellers in locating cash discrepancies, managing unusual window transactions, and answering difficult member questions;
  • Handling exceptions to policy or procedures (holds, overrides, etc.);
  • Providing on-the-job training for tellers on an as-needed basis, monitoring tellers to ensure compliance with policies and procedures;
  • Making recommendations to the Financial Center Manager for continuous improvement and total quality;
  • Performing various member service transactions, such as account holds, stop payment orders, Verification of Deposits, and process direct deposit requests;
  • Packaging and shipping excess coin to the Federal Reserve;
  • Verifying cash from the vault and following Teller Policies and Procedures;
  • Identifying member and processing teller transactions;
  • Identifying SBO (shared branch) member and processing transactions (refer to SBO guidelines);
  • Completing and/or verifying credit union forms, entering information on the computer, and/or communicating requests to specialized support departments;
  • Processing mail deposits/payments;
  • Opening and processing business night bags and performing other business account activities as required;
  • Maintaining a neat appearance of workstations and teller areas;
  • Assisting in balancing money orders;
  • Balancing cash drawers at the close of business;
