Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled MEDICAL PROGRAM OPERATIONS SPECIALIST to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our Emergency Medical Institute, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, and managing program operations.

About the Role: The successful candidate will assist in coordinating educational initiatives, ensuring instructor coverage for scheduled classes, and facilitating sessions of complex programs and less complicated courses.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare assessment materials, coordinate examinations, and evaluation tools
  • Schedule classes and faculty assignments
  • Maintain adequate inventory of training equipment and materials for classes
  • Implement customer-centered service improvements
  • Facilitate curriculum according to published instructor and student guides
  • Incorporate evidence-based research into educational plans and nursing practice
  • Participate in identifying candidates to attend educational sessions and coordinating scheduling with participants, instructors, and facility leadership
  • Develop educational materials necessary to stimulate participants and meet their individual and departmental needs
  • Coordinate and evaluate instructors on an ongoing basis according to external standards
  • Maintain policy updates and update course material as required
  • Perform related duties as needed

Requirements:

  • NYS Emergency Medical Technician Certification (required)
  • NYS Paramedic Certification (highly preferred)
  • Associate's Degree (preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1 year of relevant experience required

Compensation and Benefits: The salary range for this position is approximately $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include competitive health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
