Key Responsibilities:

  • Ordering medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed by physicians
  • Preparing and administering treatments and medications as ordered
  • Notifying residents' physicians and family members of changes in condition
  • Providing professional nursing practice services, including tube feedings, suction, catheterization, and changing dressings
  • Observing and monitoring seriously ill residents and advocating for their care
  • Accurately completing necessary charting and documentation

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in good standing
  • Effective communication skills with residents, family members, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to make decisions independently and knowledge of medical and nursing practices
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to long-term care
