Job Summary
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Atrium Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a skilled nursing setting. Your primary responsibility will be to perform nursing care and assist with planning and implementing care for the comfort and well-being of patients/residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients/residents to determine their nursing care needs and develop a plan of care to meet those needs.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and providing education to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care and communication.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
- Participate in discharge planning and ensure a smooth transition of care for patients.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
- Current LPN license or temporary license as a Licensed Practical Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside.
- BLS certification required.
Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, stoop, bend, push, and pull. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients/residents, medical equipment, and supplies.
