We are seeking a highly skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse Specialist to join our team at Reeves County Hospital District.

**Job Summary:**

The Labor and Delivery Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide individualized nursing care to patients based on their specific needs and medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional health, identifying areas for improvement and implementing interventions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, including vital signs, medical history, and treatment plans.

**Requirements:**

To be successful as a Labor and Delivery Nurse Specialist, you will need:

  • A current RN license in good standing.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a labor and delivery setting.
  • Strong knowledge of obstetric and neonatal nursing principles, including fetal monitoring and resuscitation techniques.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
