Health and Wellness Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health and Wellness Specialist to join our team at Finch Henry Job Corps Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive substance abuse prevention program, providing counseling and education services to students, and collaborating with other staff members to promote a healthy and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a substance abuse prevention program for students, including assessment, intervention, counseling, and education.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students, focusing on behaviors that represent employability barriers.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that intervention program components are fully understood and integrated into the Center's operations.
- Conduct training on alcohol and other drugs of abuse to all newly employed staff and to existing staff on an annual basis.
- Develop and monitor student intervention plans and documents progress in student's health record.
- Participate in clinical consultation with Center Director, management staff, Center Mental Health Consultant, and Health and Wellness Manager regarding substance use related prevention and education efforts for students and staff.
- Minimum of one-year experience in drug/alcohol counseling or related field required.
- Experience with working with youth preferred.
- Active, unrestricted substance abuse license or certification that meets minimum state licensing or certification requirements to practice in the state where the center is located.
- Valid State Driver's License.
