Long Term Care Assistant

The primary role of this position is to provide high-quality patient care and support to residents on the Long-Term Care unit. This includes assisting with exercises that improve the use and function of residents' limbs, as well as performing tasks for which the employee has been trained and deemed competent in.
Responsibilities:- Assist residents with exercises and activities to improve their mobility and function
- Perform tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming as needed
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
- High school graduate or equivalent
- State of Vermont LNA license
- Licensed nursing assistant with at least 6 months of work experience as an LNA required
- Long-term care or sub-acute rehab experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work respectfully and successfully as a member of a team

This position is eligible for a 403(b) retirement account, access to our Employee Assistance Program, as well as employer-paid Life and Disability insurances. An employment bonus of up to $3,750 is also available for this position. Please note that current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus.
