Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse RN Emergency Department to coordinate, supervise, and provide professional nursing care of patients within the ER. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring appropriate delivery of patient care according to policy and procedure; assigning and/or delegating patient care assignments to licensed and non-licensed nursing staff, based on acuity, needs of the patient, staff availability, and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply the nursing process to a group of patients, evaluating outcomes of patient care and adjusting the plan of care as necessary to ensure optimal service.
- Ensure timely disposition of ER patients, considering the acuity of the patients and patient satisfaction.
- Perform assessments and deliver care in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate ability to interpret patient's EKG and manage EKG monitoring/telemetry.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 6 months to 1 year preferred, but not required.
- PALS, ACLS, and ENPC required for current staff & new hires within 6 months signature.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse degree.
