Job Overview
Hiring an Applications Software Specialist for our Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for metrology inspection, customer demonstrations, and training classes in PC-DMIS, Inspire, and PolyWorks. This role also involves quoting and managing contract programming tasks and customer support. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join our team.

About the Role
This position is primarily focused on conducting hardware and software product demonstrations, effectively communicating product benefits, and assisting the regional sales team in providing product recommendations. Additionally, the successful candidate will prepare operating instructions, conduct training programs, and maintain positive customer relationships. A key responsibility will be to develop detailed technical specifications for quotations and consult with customers to incorporate their needs and feedback into application designs. Regular travel may be required up to 70% of the time.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct basic hardware and software product demonstrations showcasing technical features and processes to prospective and existing customers.
• Effectively communicate product benefits for complex applications.
• Assist the regional sales team in providing product recommendations for customer's applications.
• Prepare operating instructions and conduct training programs to meet customer's needs.
• Maintain positive customer relationships through effective interaction.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications for quotations.
• Develop programs/applications that effectively accomplish customer specifications/objectives.
• Consult with customers and incorporate needs and feedback into application designs.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Ensure programs/applications work properly after maintenance and testing.
• Analyze and edit existing programs/applications as needed to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and marketing groups on product development projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience. A strong background in manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or similar environment is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office and comfort speaking before small groups. Strong customer service skills and ability to work under close direction as well as in a team environment are also necessary. The ideal candidate should have 0-2 years' experience in a similar field.

The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary estimated at $65,000 per year, based on the location.
