UST Compliance Project Manager Job Description

Are you looking for a challenging role that combines project management skills with a passion for compliance? Do you have experience with Underground Storage Tank (UST) regulations and a strong understanding of project coordination?

Cumberland Farms Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and organized UST Compliance Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Store Support Center, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to UST systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously to meet regulatory deadlines
  • Manage UST testing program, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of repairs with approved vendors
  • Coordinate state inspections, including pre-inspection preparation and associated repairs, provide written responses to regulators as required
  • Assist with budget development for areas of responsibility and ensure work is performed on budget; achieve and track cost savings/avoidance where possible
  • Assist with emergency response (ER) program for spills, regulatory reporting, monitoring clean-up, and any required emergency testing
  • Ensure electronic compliance records are maintained in Company platform and available for review by company personnel, store team members, and regulatory agencies

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in science, engineering, or related field or sufficient industry experience
  • Preferred licenses and certifications: Class A/B Operator Certification, TPI Certification or License, CTI License, ATG or other petroleum equipment certifications from manufacturer or PEI
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Travel and Work Environment:

  • Travel limited to meetings as needed using Company pool car
  • Hours and conditions: Monday – Friday, 8-hour day in office setting
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time; able to lift up to 30 pounds
