About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Dining Server to join our team at The Landon at Lake Highlands, a senior living community dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents through compassionate care and unwavering support.

This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $15.00/hour, offering a range of benefits, including:

About the Job

The Dining Server will work in the dining room serving meals and performing related tasks regarding meal service to senior residents. Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving meals in a pleasant and efficient manner.
  • Preparing foods according to dietary standards.
  • Assisting in set-ups and dining room service.
  • Taking orders and serving food in an appropriate fashion.
  • Setting up and delivering trays upon request of the chef/cook.
  • Bus tables and trays in the dining room and other areas as necessary.
  • Pouring and covering beverages, assisting in preparing, and covering food.
  • Cleaning all work areas as directed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A high school diploma or GED at a minimum.
  • The ability to communicate effectively by speaking, seeing, and hearing sufficient to serve the residents.
  • A professional and neat appearance and presentation, adherence to the dress code, and good personal hygiene.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with various levels of people, associates, and residents.
  • The ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • The ability to relate to residents and associates in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances.
  • Physical requirements include bending, standing, lifting, stooping, sitting, walking, stretching, and the ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
