We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Managing Counsel to join our team in Columbus, Indiana. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled legal professional to provide strategic direction and day-to-day legal support to our company on regulatory compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance with a focus on engine emissions regulations, material/chemical regulations, and customs and trade compliance.
  • Support senior leaders with legal input on key areas including risk management and intellectual property.
  • Review and analyze business practices, proposals, and technical services publications for product regulatory compliance with applicable laws.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in regulation, legislation, and market expectations related to engine emissions, substance compliance, and customs and trade laws.
  • Communicate complex legal concepts simply and effectively, persuasively, and professionally.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including senior leaders and external partners.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted in good standing to the Bar of at least one state, and eligible for admission to the Indiana bar as in-house counsel.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in private practice or corporate law department focused on regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization capabilities.
