About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Purchasing Leader for Mechanics to join our team at Omega Ventures. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading the purchasing function and driving strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of purchasing professionals to ensure effective procurement processes and strategies are in place.
  • Conduct market analysis and research to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to meet quality, delivery, and price requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate supplier development programs to improve supplier performance and reduce costs.
  • Conduct price and value analyses to ensure optimal procurement decisions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing and supplier development, preferably in a mechanical engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of driving cost savings and process improvements through strategic procurement initiatives.
