About the RoleThis is a key leadership position within our vehicle maintenance team. As a Heavy Duty Truck Technician Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and reliable for our customers.
You will work closely with our team of technicians to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, using your expertise and experience to provide guidance and support. Your strong communication skills and ability to lead by example will be essential in mentoring and coaching junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers, including preventive maintenance services, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Supervise and guide junior technicians, providing feedback and coaching to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our operations and processes.
- 6+ years of practical experience in heavy duty truck maintenance and repair.
- ASE certification and specialized training in major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and coach junior technicians.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in all weather conditions.
- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and systems.
