Campus Recruitment and Enrollment Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Campus Recruitment and Enrollment Specialist to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to students interested in choosing Longwood University as their college, serving as the primary recruiter in specific geographical areas.
About the RoleThis full-time, administrative & professional faculty position is responsible for developing a travel schedule and recruitment plan within a designated geographic territory, managing relationships with high schools, and coordinating on- and off-campus events. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Main Responsibilities- Represent Longwood University to a diverse audience in a front-line capacity or at high schools, community colleges, and college fair programs.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with high school counselors, administrators, and other stakeholders to promote Longwood University's brand and increase recruitment efforts.
- Coordinate and implement on- and off-campus events, working closely with various campus offices and academic departments to ensure successful outcomes.
- Develop and maintain communication with prospective students throughout the recruitment process, providing timely and accurate information to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor recruitment, application, and enrollment activities within the designated territory, analyzing data to inform strategic decisions and optimize recruitment strategies.
- Evaluate student applications and credentials, making admission decisions that align with university policies and procedures.
- Coordinate, organize, and conduct presentations for group visits to campus, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for prospective students and families.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of work experience and/or training.
- Valid driver's license.
- Training and/or experience working with youth and diverse populations, sales, admissions, recruitment, or higher education.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to create a unique, high-touch customer service experience that consistently exceeds expectations.
- Demonstrated sensitivity in working with students and families from diverse populations.
- Must be available to work a schedule that includes frequent evenings, weekends, holidays, and out-of-town travel.
$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
