Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative support to the HR staff at Sojitz Corporation of America, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining employee records, processing payroll and benefits, and providing general HR support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and confidential information.
  • Process payroll and benefits, including manual checks and ACH payments.
  • Provide general HR support, including responding to employment and income verification requests.
  • Assist with benefits meetings, including open enrollment and committee meetings.
  • Support the administration of the 401(k) plans for Sojitz Group and Sojitz Automotive Group.
  • Process general ledger entries related to payroll and benefits.
  • Administer accounts payable for the Human Resources and General Affairs departments.

Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. desirable but not required.
  • High proficiency with MS Excel is an absolute must.
  • Knowledge of general accounting/bookkeeping principles.
  • Basic knowledge of employee benefits is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of administrative support experience.
  • Organizational and time management skills required.
  • Excellent attention to details.
  • Ability to juggle many tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Concur, Microsoft Office products strongly preferred.
