Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Residential Therapist to join our team at Elk Hill Farm Inc. in Charlottesville, VA.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide individual, group, and family therapy services to up to 16 designated youth in our residential programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly individual therapy sessions for residents
  • Document all therapy services and provide notes to the appropriate case manager
  • Conduct initial assessments and re-assessments as directed
  • Help facilitate service planning meetings and construct service plans for each youth
  • Obtain and maintain required documentation for licensing and Medicaid purposes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
  • Professional experience working with children
  • Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMP) certification
  • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
