We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Explosives Specialist to join our team at Axis Energy Administration. As an EHS Explosives Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards related to explosives handling, storage, transportation, disposal, and treatment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in developing and implementing standard operating procedures, conducting audits, and providing guidance on best practices related to logistics, compliance, and safe handling of explosives.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement an explosives safety program to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on explosives safety standards, practices, and procedures.
- Maintain a proficient knowledge of current federal and state pipeline safety regulations.
- Interpret regulations and provide training to employees to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry, physics, engineering).
- 5-7+ years' experience in explosives compliance accompanied by deep understanding of explosives handling, storage, transportation, disposal, and treatment of explosives.
- Advanced understanding of and experience with explosives and energetic materials EH&S, licensing, and compliance; experience with ATF and OSHA.
- Professional integrity, confidentiality, and sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Highly organized and efficient worker; skilled at multi-tasking.
- Effective communication skills - verbal and written; attentive listener.
- Willing to take initiative and work independently.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, visitors, vendors, and other employees.
- Ability to clear eligibility on Axis pre-employment requirements.
- Receipt of proof of eligibility to work in the United States, as required by law.
- Ability to travel up to 25% to various operations locations.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $110,000-$140,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
