Early Childhood Education Substitute Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to join our team at Wood Acres School. This role is crucial in maintaining continuity of education when our regular instructors are unavailable.

The Substitute Teacher will effectively implement existing lesson plans, manage classroom dynamics, and foster a positive and productive learning environment for our young students.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instructional activities prepared by the regular teacher, ensuring students continue to progress towards academic goals.
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a healthy learning atmosphere.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by school policies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred.
  • Ability to pass both state and federal background checks.
