Overview of Skilled Maintenance Technician Role at Toyota Alabama

The successful applicant for this position will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment, supporting production, quality, and safety goals within a collaborative work environment.

Taking place in Huntsville, Alabama, the Skilled Maintenance Technician will collaborate with our team to develop innovative solutions and improve operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities
  • Performing regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
  • Troubleshooting complex issues using technical knowledge and analytical skills to resolve problems efficiently
  • Assembling, designing, and testing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment or systems, including circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo drives, etc.
  • Fabricating and machining components to repair jigs, fixtures, and parts for projects, equipment repair, maintenance work orders, and machine modifications
  • Writing, programming, troubleshooting, modifying, and repairing programmable logic controllers, CNC machines, robotics, and other electronic equipment
  • Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical equipment, and machine components

We offer a competitive salary of $41,200 per year, based on a starting hourly rate of $33.00/hr and a grow-in rate up to $44.20/hr, along with various benefits, including comprehensive health care, paid holidays, and professional growth opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Industrial maintenance experience, preferably with certifications in electrical and mechanical fields
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, including PLCs, Computers & Information Technology, Hydraulic/Pneumatic, Motion/Motor Control, Welding, Machining, and Robotics
  • Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and problem-solving, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement efficient solutions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
