Speech Therapist

PACS Inc is seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing effective treatment plans, and providing speech and language therapy services.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients within 24 hours of physician referral and document the evaluation in the medical record.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with referring physicians.
- Provide speech and language therapy services to patients, including individual and group sessions.
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants in direct patient care and patient-related activities.
- Communicate with healthcare team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation conferences as needed.
- Record evaluations, treatment notes, and progress notes in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in in-service training programs for other staff members.
- Provide education and training to patients' families and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiver training.
- Participate in discharge planning and act as a clinical preceptor for affiliating CFY/RFP Speech-Language Pathologists and student programs.
- Comply with the Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Bureau State Practice Act and facility policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Current state licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients, families, staff, and professional colleagues.
