Job Overview

This role involves collaborating with project managers and cross-functional teams to execute engineering projects focused on large diameter pipeline planning, design, and construction. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing engineering work with various civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, and process engineering groups
  • Participating in planning and designing major engineering projects and coordinating special studies
  • Preparing reports, construction plans, specifications, calculations, equipment selection, and cost estimates for various projects
  • Conducting field inspections and testing to ensure performance and conformity with plans and specifications
  • Preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables
  • Assisting with studies, field testing, and alternative analysis
  • Data collection, manipulation, analysis, and documentation
  • Effective communication and coordination with project teams, including other disciplines
  • Courtesy mentoring junior engineers and designers
  • Supporting business development pursuits by assisting internal client service teams
  • Preparing and presenting information to clients and professional meetings
Requirements

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Professional registration as an engineer in your home state, with ability to obtain registration in other states in a timely manner
  • Minimum six years of professional experience in the design of large diameter water and wastewater pipelines and storage
  • Ability to work on a variety of projects supporting Engineering Services
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports and documents
  • Excellent technical writing skills required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Outlook, Teams, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Bentley and/or AutoDesk Civil 3D preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
Salary Range

The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $97,000 - $132,000 based on location and skills.
