At Latitude Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Claims Review Specialist to support our Federal Team in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of medical claims. This role involves reviewing complex medical records, billing, and claims cases/projects, evaluating coding practices, and applying clinical guidelines and coverage criteria during case/project reviews.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Medical Record Review: Conduct thorough reviews of Medicare Beneficiary records to ensure services are reasonable, necessary, and compliant with national/local policies and coding practices.
  • Coding Practices Evaluation: Assess and evaluate coding practices to ensure accuracy and compliance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Clinical Guidelines Application: Apply established clinical guidelines and coverage criteria during case/project reviews to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders as needed to support case review and resolution.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Draft inquiry letters, investigation findings, and case summaries, and maintain accurate data entry, tracking, and reporting related to specific cases and projects.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License: Hold an active, current, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience in Medical Review: Possess 3-5 years of experience in medical review, claims review, or coding review, with a focus on inpatient services and related care.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical and research skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Be proficient in working with various research and processing systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
