Surgical Nurse Specialist

The Staff Pad is seeking a skilled Surgical Nurse Specialist in Las Vegas, New Mexico. As a key member of our client's Surgical Services team, you will provide high-quality patient care and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Surgical Environment Preparation: Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications, IV therapy, and anesthesia support as directed by physicians or anesthesiologists.
- Clinical Documentation: Accurately document patient care information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Experience: Previous experience in surgical nursing, perioperative care, or critical care is preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills are also considered.
- Licenses/Certificates: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
