About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physics Specialist to join our team at Baptist Memorial Healthcare Corporation. As a key member of our Radiation Oncology department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical physics services to support cancer treatment and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Treatment Planning: You will work closely with oncologists and radiation therapists to develop and implement treatment plans that meet individual patient needs.
  • Quality Assurance: You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and safety of our linear accelerators, treatment planning systems, and physics equipment, in accordance with hospital, state, federal, and accrediting body requirements.
  • Clinical Expertise: You will provide consultation to physicians on complex cases and collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless delivery of physics services.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: A Master's degree in Medical Physics or a related field is required. Board eligibility in Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) is also essential.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a progressive cancer center/facility is preferred, with ABR certification in Radiation Oncology being highly desirable.
  • Licensure and Certification: BLS certification within 14 days of hire and ABR eligibility are mandatory.
