Building Management Specialist

As a skilled Building Management Specialist, you will apply advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.
You will work under limited supervision, monitoring building system operations and performance. Your expertise in various trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling will be valuable assets in this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation within design capabilities and achieve environmental conditions prescribed by clients.
- Oversee and inspect work performed by outside contractors, which may include landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning services.
- Perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance tasks, maintaining accurate records as required.
- Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed, order necessary materials and supplies, and complete all tasks efficiently.
- Maintain an energy management program to operate all systems in the most efficient manner, minimizing operating costs.
- Manage the building lighting system, performing element and ballast repairs or replacements as needed.
- Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks when necessary.
- A minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training, along with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Prioritize universal CFC certification, strong electrical knowledge, and prefer certification in one or more of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
- Familiarity with personal computers, PDAs for work order systems, email, ESS, and training, along with basic skills in Microsoft Office Outlook.
- Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

What We Offer- Competitive salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
