Job Title: Rental Department Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Rental Department Associate to join our team at Stan Houston Equipment Company. As a key member of our rental department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate and timely completion of rental paperwork, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process rental agreements, collect payment, and obtain signatures from customers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all rental paperwork, including tracking and managing rental reservations and scheduling.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including ensuring rental equipment is properly displayed and organized.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department for accurate billing and payment processes.
  • Assist customers with rental equipment, including pick-up and drop-off.
  • Inspect rental equipment for damage, cleanliness, and operational functionality before and after pick-up and drop-off.
  • Coordinate rental equipment maintenance, repairs, and cleaning as necessary.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience in customer service, rental or retail preferred.
  • Previous experience with construction tools and equipment preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer requests simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Basic computer skills for accessing computer software systems to obtain product information.
