Crozer Health System is seeking an experienced board-certified Gastroenterologist to lead the Gastroenterology Division as the Chief. This opportunity requires clinical and non-clinical expertise to direct and advance the established Gastroenterology division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Head the Gastroenterology Division of the Department of Medicine.
  • Oversee and supervise all members of the Division of Gastroenterology.
  • Prepare and manage the budget in accordance with mutually agreed-upon goals for the Division with the Chairperson of the Department of Medicine.
  • Develop and improve specialized gastroenterology services, including:

Endoscopy Center of Excellence

Hepatology Center of Excellence

Colorectal Cancer Prevention

Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Women's Digestive Health

Nutrition Service

  • Serve on committees as directed by the Chairperson of the Department of Medicine.
  • Patient Care:

Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care.

Recruit additional physicians to support programs.

Establish and maintain high patient satisfaction.

  • Teaching:

Organize and ensure lectures on various topics pertaining to gastroenterology for internal medicine residents.

Work with the internal medicine program Director to ensure noon conferences, journal clubs, and rotations on the gastroenterology service.

Organize grand rounds at least twice-yearly on gastroenterology topics for the Department of Medicine.

  • Quality Assurance:

Foster a culture of quality excellence and initiate quality improvement efforts.

Regularly evaluate the quality of GI services and plan continuing education programs.

  • Practice Relationships:

Communicate regularly with division physicians and healthcare system leadership.

Help coordinate community relationships.

Time Commitment: The physician shall devote approximately sixteen (16) hours per month to provide administrative services.
