**Job Description**

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching writing-intensive courses, developing and implementing curriculum, and evaluating student performance. As an instructor, you will be expected to maintain current course syllabi, provide timely feedback, and make student referrals when necessary. You will also be required to represent the college in a positive manner, welcome students from diverse backgrounds, and promote an environment that embraces differences and supports inclusion.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be considered for this position, you must have a conferred Master's degree from an accredited institution with at least 18 graduate hours in a combination of English, Communication, Creative Writing, Journalism, Literature, Speech, Technical Writing, or English Education coursework. At least 6 of the 18 graduate hours must be in English or Communication. Familiarity with teaching at a community college, experience teaching college writing, and significant graduate coursework in English, Literature, Writing, or Rhetoric are preferred.
