Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Support Assistant to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs in St. Louis, MO. This is a full-time permanent position that offers a competitive salary and a range of benefits.

About the Role:

  • This role will support the Home Telehealth program by providing administrative assistance and technical support.
  • You will be responsible for utilizing software programs required for unit functions, including CPRS, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and TMS.
  • You will analyze and implement training on VISTA mailman, CPRS, Outlook, clinic profile management and PC applications software programs to employees.
  • You will also resolve computer problems via equipment operating manuals, trouble-shooting procedures, personal knowledge or consulting with IRM personnel.
  • You will masterfully operate the telehealth equipment to assist in troubleshooting problems for patients, answering questions for customers, and supporting the team.
  • You will provide customer service to internal and external customers, communicate with a wide range of individuals (professional, clinical, administrative) in the resolution of problems and complaints.
  • You will collect and analyze data for QI reports and performance improvement activities.
  • You will communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of people from different backgrounds and different levels of understanding.

About You:

  • You must have a year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position.
  • You should be proficient in most of the requirements of the job, including typing at least 40 words per minute.
  • You should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • You should be willing to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
