Surgical Team Lead RN

Surgery Partners is seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to serve as a key member of our surgical team. As a RN Operating Room Circulator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our OR, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting the success of our surgical teams.
About the Role
As a RN Operating Room Circulator, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a safe and efficient OR environment, and collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. You will also assist with managing inventory, supplies, and equipment, and maintain accurate records and reports.
Responsibilities
- Preoperative Preparation: Prepare patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments, verifying medical histories, and obtaining necessary consents.
- OR Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe OR environment, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Patient Care: Provide individualized patient care, addressing their physical, emotional, and psychological needs throughout the surgical process.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient information, including medical histories, allergies, medications, and treatment plans.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A current RN license in good standing.
- Experience working in a fast-paced OR environment, preferably with experience as a circulator or scrub nurse.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
