Job Description

Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Radiation Oncology Physician to join our team. As a Radiation Oncology Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and treatment in a state-of-the-art medical treatment facility in Memphis, TN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat patients with various types of cancer, including palliative and curative cases.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including radiation therapy and other modalities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in the medical record.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest advancements in radiation oncology.
Requirements:
  • Board certification in Radiation Oncology from the American Board of Radiology.
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in any state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in radiation oncology, excluding residency.
  • Expertise in 3D Conformal Radiation Therapy (3D-CRT), Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS).
  • Knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, and procedures to serve radiation oncology patient population.
Working Conditions:
  • Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, excluding holidays.
  • On-call coverage during all hours when the facility clinic is closed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Availability for phone consultations with residents and physicians at all times.
Standards of Practice:
  • Provide evidence-based best practices that meet or exceed all standards of professional practice and performance measures applicable to the facility medical professionals.
  • Adhere to guidelines and standards promulgated by the American College of Radiology, American Society for Radiation Oncology, and American Association for Physicist in Medicine.
