Intensive Care Nurse Opportunity in Denver

We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Nurse to join our team at Denver Health, a leading healthcare institution in Colorado. As a key member of our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.
Job SummaryThis is a PRN/Intermittent position that offers flexibility and autonomy in your work schedule. Our NICU is a 26-bed unit that provides care to approximately 350 newborns annually, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.5. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including social workers, pediatric pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and speech, occupational, and physical therapists.
Responsibilities- Assess the needs of individuals, families, and communities to identify potential health or safety problems
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions and vital signs
- Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions
- Develop and modify patient care plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions
- An Associate's Degree in Nursing is required; one year of experience in a direct patient care setting is preferred
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association is required
- RN-Registered Nurse licensure from the Department of Regulatory Agencies is required
- A competitive salary of $34.00 - $55.53 per hour
