Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our food innovation efforts and drive sales growth in the foodservice industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with our company goals and market trends.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Development: Refine and execute against a comprehensive sales strategy that includes foodservice, D2C, and retail channels.
  • Sales Management: Lead the sales pipeline for mid-to-large-scale chains, from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Customer Engagement: Foster strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to win customers and maintain high satisfaction, retention, and evangelism.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including brand and marketing, product development, and finance, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 15+ years of relevant experience in senior sales roles, preferably spanning start-ups and larger organizations, with a proven track record of closing deals in new categories.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels, with a startup mindset and experience managing teams.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong financial and commercial acumen, with prior P&L ownership and experience with data analysis and insight generation.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working with enduring consumer brands, luxury, fashion, food, cosmetics, or consumer tech, with knowledge of setting a brand apart in a cluttered category.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and points of view.
