Job Description

Camping World is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Engineering intern to join their team for the summer of 2025. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data engineering, working closely with the Data Management office.

About the Role

As a Data Engineering intern, you will assist with daily operations and participate in various tasks that require SQL and Snowflake skills. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Data validation: comparing and verifying source and target data
  • Business acumen: gaining knowledge of automotive, retail, and digital business aspects
  • Software development: collaborating with data scientists, data analysts, solution architects, data engineers, and managerial roles
  • Handling new source data requests from the business
  • Taking on individual special projects to enhance your knowledge and skills
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Data Science or Statistics
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • A graduation date between December 2025-July 2027
  • The ability to relocate to Chicago for the summer term (June 9-August 15)
  • Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with software and web development
  • Excellent troubleshooting, data interpreting, and technical skills
  • Knowledge in Information technology (databases, system security, trouble shooting, etc.)
  • The ability to maintain professional demeanor and strict confidentiality
  • Diligence, organization, and attention to detail
  • An analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong work ethic with research and note-taking skills
