Job Summary:

The City of New York is seeking a skilled Computer Associate (Software) to join its Information Technology Services Division (ITSD). As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and fixing issues in applications currently in production, developed using various technologies including C#, VB.NET, ColdFusion, and more. Your expertise will be essential in developing solutions that meet the needs of users and are easy to operate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and fix issues in applications currently in production.
  • Develop solutions that meet user needs and are easy to operate.
  • Use DevOps for automating deployment and release management.
  • Oversee, plan, and manage the AERB process.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues between SharePoint, CRM, and homegrown applications.
  • Develop and maintain standards and guidelines for implementing automated processes.
  • Work across teams to ensure full documentation compliance.
  • Participate in human-centered design activities, user research, software prototyping, and usability testing.
  • Oversee configuring of IT automation and monitoring tools at an enterprise level.
  • Work with the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery team to monitor tabletop and actual failover events.
  • Ensure security of Production systems.
  • Be the liaison between ITSD and other divisions and vendors.

Requirements:
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in computer science or a related computer field and one year of satisfactory full-time computer software experience.
  • Or a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of satisfactory full-time computer software experience.
