Senior Estimator and Preconstruction Manager for High-End Building Projects

At Kiewit Corporation, we're seeking a seasoned Senior Estimator and Preconstruction Manager to lead our team in delivering high-end building projects across various markets. With a strong background in vertical construction and extensive experience in estimating and preconstruction, you'll be responsible for overseeing large-scale estimates, managing teams, and implementing successful win strategies.

About the Role:

  • Lead complex estimates exceeding $30 million in value
  • Develop and implement winning strategies with your team
  • Present detailed estimates to executive management and clients
  • Analyze drawings and specifications to understand project scope
  • Review and assist with proposals and other documentation
  • Become proficient in Kiewit's proprietary estimating program, 'InEight Estimate'
  • Provide leadership and strategy in subcontractor and vendor selection process
  • Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in the vertical building industry
  • Mixture of field supervision and operations experience preferred
  • At least 5 years of estimating and preconstruction experience, with at least half that time as Preconstruction/Estimating Manager
  • Ability to lead large estimates and manage multiple teams
  • Passion for preconstruction and estimating
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, On Screen takeoff, and other estimating software programs
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Results-oriented with ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented and technically sound with good communication skills

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is between $152,400 - $198,240 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including top-tier medical, dental, and vision plans, voluntary wellness and employee assistance programs, life insurance, disability, retirement plans with matching, and generous paid time off.
