Job Summary:

As a Senior Cook with The Salvation Army Eastern Territory, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of kitchen safety and food distribution. This position requires a strong commitment to ensuring the well-being of our clients and the community we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve meals in accordance with food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness, sanitization, and order in the kitchen and serving area.
Plan and adhere to a monthly menu.
Coordinate with the Emergency Assistance Provider and Corps Officer to order and obtain food and supplies.
Stock and maintain food and dry storage as necessary.
Accurately report food statistics.
Secure the kitchen and storage areas when not in use.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license and Salvation Army motor vehicle test.
Related experience preferred but not necessary.
Ability to follow directions and read for recipe and food safety standards clarification.
Servsafe food handler certification (Servsafe food manager preferred).
Punctual and able to work independently and collectively with the administrative team associates.
