We are seeking an exceptional Transplant Cardiologist to join our team at the University of Miami Health System. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a board-certified cardiologist with a passion for advancing transplant care and education.
About the Role:This senior-level position will focus on developing and leading our Adult Heart Transplant and Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) program. The successful candidate will have experience in clinical leadership, education, and research, with a strong track record of collaboration and innovation.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. A commitment to quality patient care, continuous improvement, and excellence in education and research is essential.
About the Requirements:To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a medical degree from an accredited institution, be board-certified in cardiology, and have completed a fellowship in transplantation or have equivalent experience. A minimum of five years of clinical experience in transplantation is required, as well as current licensure to practice medicine in Florida.
Able candidates will demonstrate a proven track record of leadership, including experience in strategic planning, policy development, and program evaluation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions, are also essential.
Additional requirements include a strong commitment to teaching and education, with experience in mentoring residents and fellows, and a demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
About the Benefits:The University of Miami Health System offers a highly competitive salary range of $350,000 to $450,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
