Pipeline Integrity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Integrity Specialist to join our team at ONE Gas. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the Transmission Integrity Management Program (TIMP) for transmission pipelines located in the Texas Gas Services operating territory.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and perform pipeline integrity program engineering analyses.
- Coordinate projects among regions, departments, and contractors, including soliciting bid proposals and coordinating contractual agreements.
- Provide technical and engineering assistance to management, employees, governmental/regulatory personnel, contractors, customers, and others on matters including equipment/system design, pipeline sizes, defect failure and remaining life analysis, regulatory compliance, policies and procedures, use of materials or instrumentation, database analyses, growth planning, emergency valve isolation plans for pipeline systems, material specs, strategic planning, and asset risk assessment.
- Research, analyze, compile, and prepare information, including engineering design, pipeline system risk studies, pipeline bid proposals, pipeline integrity contracts, periodic status/activity reports, management of change tracking, job work orders, purchase requisitions, and federal and state regulatory compliance standards.
- Preferred bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Knowledge of piping plan standards and related governmental regulations.
- Experience with application of math, algebraic formulas, calculus, and statistics.
- Experience in use and function of office equipment, including computers and software such as GIS, Synergi, Excel, Access, Technical Toolbox, Copperleaf, Maximo, or other relevant software.
- Experience and training related to transmission/distribution pipeline operations, company/governmental operating and safety procedures, calculation of mechanical properties of materials, pipeline integrity/industry standards and procedures, identifying, researching, evaluating, and prioritizing pipeline threats, and coordinating appropriate action/response.
- Experience researching and preparing pipeline construction contracts, budget projects, job work orders, engineering studies, and correspondence.
- Experience reading and interpreting governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, surveys, charts, risk reports, and other forms of data.
- Experience interacting, negotiating, advising, and communicating effectively.
- Experience developing information and making presentations to groups and individuals.
- Read and write fluently in English.
- Preferred Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Minimum applicable driver's license.
